Paranormal and Romantic Suspense

A World Where Everything Is as it Is and Nothing Is as it Seems

Don't forget to check out my blog for the contest.  Each week, I'll give away a different book and you never know when the author(s) may stop by to chat.

RWA in San Fran was amazing. The hotel was great and the location was perfect. Last year we were pretty much hotel bound. This year we had plenty of restaurants available within walking distance or by street car, there was shopping of all kinds, and sight seeing as well.

The weather held out. It was pretty cool on Tuesday once the fog began rolling in, but other than that it was nice. Not hot, not cold, a tad cool, but never freezing.  On Sunday, when I left to come back to the humid state in which I live, it was FREEZING. I’d packed my jacket and so I stood shivering outside waiting to be picked up for the airport.

I’m not sure how to describe the feeling we had during the conference other than serendipity. It was like you knew you were meant to be there, this year, meeting new friends, agents, editors, and coming face to face with the friends you have from the blog world.

I had several pitches and request came from them, which is always a highlight for the working hard towards publication and career writers.

The workshops were inspiring and yes, again it was different this year. You didn’t feel like you were sitting in a room being talked too. It was more like being in the living room of your home and sharing a conversation.

So now everyone is back home, back to their PC’s and the character’s speaking in their heads. Each of us working to achieve our goals, whatever they may be at this time.

As August comes to a close and September begins, those who have children are putting them back on the bus or taking them back to school, maybe for several hours of uninterrupted hours of HOKBIC. We’re energized, ready to complete the wip or begin the new words, filling up the blank page. And we’re all working on the journey which is our dream. To Write, To Published, and To be Read.

Writing Wishes and Plotting Dreams,

Vicki

What I'm working On.

Right now, I'm working on a Catergory for a Mills and Boon contest. This is totally different from the paranormal world and I'm having a blast writing it.

I'm working on the second book in the stand alone After Thoughts series.  It'll be much darker than the first, but Annie's story is...hmmm...let's just say, after you read the first one you'll understand.

Each of the three are stand alone, in the fact that you could pick up any of the three and read it.  Of course I like reading them in order, but it's not going to be a problem if you don't. :)

As you tell from the top, I'm in the waiting time for the first book.  It's out there and so now I write while I wait.

I'm also finishing the plotting to two romantic supsense books as well.  Love them. Totally different than the paranormal, but just as fun to write.

What's New?

Working with my CP's and Annie's book. The contest entry for Mills and Boon is done and now I await the results.
